裂き編み：着物コート – Kimono Coat

私は現在、編み物のために異なる材料を使って実験しています。最近、裂いた着物を使用していました。私は店でいくつかの古い着物を見つけ、一枚からコートを編みました。

後身頃と袖は黒のリボンとモヘア、ウールの交互のブロックのミックスで編みました。着物は赤と黒であるように、私は薄い赤の絹の糸を追加しました。基本的なパターンは、シンプルなガーター編みです。袖の間中にケーブルを持っています。

I am currently experimenting with different material for my knitting. For some time I wanted to use stripes of kimonos to knit something. I found some old kimonos at a shop and used one of it for a coat I had designed.

The back and sleeves are knitted with a mix of black ribbon and alternating blocks of mohair and wool. As the kimono is in red and black, I added a thin red silk yarn. The basic pattern is simple garter stitch. Each sleeve has a large cable running up in the center.

The front pieces are then knitted from the kimono stripes. First I had to dissemble the kimono. Then I used a round knife to cut each piece into stripes. To knit the pieces I used 20mm needles together with a red mohair yarn included a side-pocket. The pieces and later crocheted together.
